QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized, accredited college or university; Valid Texas Certification for EC-6 or EC-4 (Standard, Provisional, or One-Year certificates only; ACP candidates on a probationary certificate do not qualify); Minimum of three (3) years of successful experience as an elementary classroom teacher preferred; Strong experience with at-risk / small group reading intervention and instruction; Excellent classroom management. This position does not qualify for a lateral teacher transfer within CFISD during the school year.
TERMS OF EMPLOYMENT
Probationary/Term Contract:
187 days
SALARY:
$64,206/IA-3 Salary Range (based on experience) as set by the Board of Trustees for the school year.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Develop and maintain a classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning. Regular and reliable attendance is an essential job function.
WORKING CONDITIONS
Mental Demands/Physical Demands/Environmental Factors:
Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, pulling and pushing. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom equipment.
