An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

Our learning environment engages students in the construction of understanding through asking questions, exploring, researching, and reflecting. We focus on helping students develop coping skills, self-advocacy, and confidence while supporting their academic growth. Bachelor's Degree required Willing to obtain or actively in the process of obtaining a valid Texas Teacher certification Open to new ideas in teaching methods Ability to adjust and adapt to a multitude of situations in the school environment Ability to instruct students and manage their behavior Strong instructional technology skills Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills Must have satisfactory outcome of the fingerprinting check before starting employment. Non-refundable fee paid by the employee. Our district participates in Teacher Retirement System (TRS) and Social Security.
