In this role, you will lead classroom activities, develop engaging curriculum rooted in Montessori principles, and foster a supportive atmosphere that promotes holistic childhood development. Your expertise will help children build foundational skills in literacy, math, social-emotional learning, and physical development, ensuring each child's unique needs are met with care and professionalism. Responsibilities Design and implement innovative Montessori-based curriculum that promote independence, curiosity, and a love for learning among primary-aged children. Lead daily classroom activities, ensuring a well-organized environment conducive to active exploration and discovery. Manage classroom behavior effectively through positive reinforcement strategies and individualized behavior management plans. Assess children's progress regularly and plans lessons accordingly. Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and specialists to support children's developmental needs. Maintain detailed records of student development, attendance, and curriculum implementation to ensure compliance with educational standards. Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment that prioritizes child welfare, physical activity, and social-emotional growth. Qualifications Montessori Primary Certification (AMI, AMS, or equivalent) Required Proven classroom management skills with experience working with children aged three to six years old. Strong background in curriculum development, lesson planning, literacy education, math instruction, and childhood development principles. Experience working with children requiring special education or early intervention services is highly desirable. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members; excellent interpersonal skills are essential. Prior Montessori experience within private school settings is required. Knowledge of behavior management techniques, toddler care practices, classroom organization strategies, and child welfare standards.
