An Elementary School Teacher teaches elementary school students, usually children ages 5 - 11 who are in kindergarten through fifth or sixth grade, in a public or private school. Teaches all subjects, including reading, writing, math, social studies and science, to one class throughout the school year. Plans curriculum and assesses student progress, manages student behavior and communicates with school parents. May specialize in teaching music, art or physical education, or teach students that are learning English, or work with students with learning disabilities or emotional and behavioral disorders.

BASIS Pflugerville Campus is seeking a Kindergarten Teacher to join our bright, passionate team! Our schools offer students an education that prepares them according to the highest, most rigorous international standards. Other Duties include, but are not limited to: Evaluating students' academic and social growth, keeping appropriate records, and preparing progress reports Communicating with parents via email, conferences, and other means to discuss student progress Identifying student needs and cooperating with the Subject Experts or other professional staff members in assessing and helping students solve health, attitude, and learning problems Providing differentiated instruction and executing IEP's and 504 Plans with fidelity Substitute/duty coverage as needed Supervise students during classroom transitions throughout the day Occasionally represent BASIS Ed Texas at designated school wide community events outside of typical school hours
Position Qualifications:
Minimum Qualifications:
Eligible to work in Texas Public Schools. A Bachelor's degree in Education or related subject. Ability to obtain a valid fingerprint clearance through TEA.
Preferred Qualifications:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as an elementary educator. Master's degree in Education or related subject.
