Elementary Teacher – Reading Language Arts (RLA)

Saint Jo, Texas Primary Purpose Provide students with engaging, standards-based instruction in Reading Language Arts while fostering a positive learning environment that supports academic growth, critical thinking, and student success. The teacher will work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and administrators to ensure all students reach their full potential. Qualifications Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university Valid Texas teaching certificate with appropriate certification, or enrollment in an approved Alternative Certification Program Strong knowledge of the Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills (TEKS) Ability to establish and maintain positive relationships with students, staff, and families Excellent communication and organizational skills Responsibilities Plan and deliver effective RLA and Math instruction aligned to state standards Use student assessment data to guide instructional decisions and interventions Create a positive classroom culture that promotes student engagement and achievement Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse needs of learners Collaborate with colleagues through Professional Learning Communities (PLCs) Maintain accurate records of student progress and communicate regularly with parents Participate in campus and district professional development activities Support the mission, vision, and goals of Saint Jo ISD Why Saint Jo ISD?
