The Kindergarten Teacher supports student success by planning, preparing, and delivering lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning. The teacher develops schemes of work and assessments that align with the Consensus Curriculum and building expectations. The teacher instructs and monitors students in the use of learning materials and equipment and guides student development in accordance with the school's mission and vision. Requirements All permanent professional staff members at All Saints are required to hold a degree and be certified in Elementary Education by either the Commonwealth of Virginia or the Virginia Catholic Education Association (VCEA), or demonstrate the ability to obtain certification from one of these organizations. Successful candidates should be deeply committed to Catholic education and possess excellent written and verbal communication skills. They must also exhibit strong interpersonal, organizational, and managerial abilities. We seek individuals who are enthusiastic, positive, flexible, and dedicated team players with a strong work ethic. This is a full-time position for 10 months, operating Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, from mid-August to mid-June.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in elementary education or a primary academic discipline Virginia teacher license or the willingness to pursue licensure Strong candidates will also embrace the school's organizational values and the tenets of Catholic education All employees will be required to pass background checks.
