POSITION SUMMARY
The
FIRST/SECOND GRADE BLEND TEACHER
is responsible for providing high-quality instruction in alignment with MCA curriculum and educational standards while integrating biblical values and a Christian worldview into the classroom experience. This role fosters student growth through engaging instruction, intentional relationship-building, consistent classroom leadership, and strong communication with families and staff.

Teachers are expected to cultivate a positive, structured, and Christ-centered classroom culture that supports academic achievement, character development, social-emotional growth, and spiritual formation.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESDeliver engaging instruction across elementary subject areas using approved curriculum and effective teaching strategiesCreate and maintain a positive, organized, and Christ-centered classroom environment conducive to learning and student growthDevelop lesson plans, classroom activities, and assessments aligned with educational objectives and student learning outcomesDifferentiate instruction to support varying student learning styles, abilities, and needsEstablish and consistently maintain classroom routines, expectations, and behavior standardsMonitor student progress and maintain timely grading, assessments, records, and documentationCommunicate professionally and proactively with parents regarding student progress, classroom expectations, and support needsBuild positive relationships with students through encouragement, accountability, consistency, and careCollaborate effectively with administrators, support staff, and fellow teachersSupport students spiritual formation through biblical integration, Christ-like leadership, and daily interactionsParticipate in staff meetings, trainings, professional development, school events, and other assigned dutiesMaintain professionalism, confidentiality, and positive communication in all school-related matters
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree from an accredited institution preferredTeaching license/certification preferredElementary classroom teaching experience preferredStrong classroom management and instructional skillsStrong verbal and written communication skillsAbility to work collaboratively with students, parents, staff, and administrationStrong organizational skills, flexibility, professionalism, and relational maturityCommitment to continuous professional and spiritual growthApplicants should also:

Demonstrate a personal Christian faith and lifestyle consistent with biblical principlesBe an active member in good standing of Mannahouse or a like-minded church, including regular attendance, ministry involvement, and tithingBe passionate about Christian education and spiritual mentorship of studentsIntegrate faith naturally into relationships, leadership, and classroom culture
