Full Job Description Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated, spirit filled, and passionate Elementary School Teacher to join our team and help progress the UCA mission of ensuring that scholars are Christ centered, characrter strong, college bound, and community focused productive citizens. As an Up Christian Academy Elementary School Teacher, you will be responsible for creating a Christ centered, positive, and engaging learning environment for students. You will develop and implement bible study, lesson plans, assess student progress, and provide support to ensure academic success.
Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement bible study and Word of God instruction daily in the classroom
  • Develop and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Provide instruction in various subjects such as math, literacy, science, and social studies
  • Assess student progress and provide feedback on their academic performance
  • Collaborate with other teachers and staff to create a comprehensive educational program
  • Utilize learning technology to enhance instruction and engage students
  • Support the social-emotional development of students
  • Provide individualized instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
  • Collaborate with parents and guardians to support student success
  • Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Experience working with elementary school-aged children
  • Knowledge of education administration and classroom management techniques
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Proficient in using learning technology tools
  • Familiarity with literacy education strategies
