Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a passionate and dedicated 4th/5th grade teacher to inspire and guide young learners through a dynamic educational journey. This role involves creating an engaging classroom environment that fosters curiosity, critical thinking, and a love for learning. The ideal candidate will be committed to nurturing each child's academic, social, and emotional development while implementing innovative teaching strategies aligned with curriculum standards. As a vital member of our educational community, you will empower students to reach their full potential and develop essential skills for future success. Duties Develop and deliver comprehensive lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in literacy, math, science, social studies, and other core subjects. Incorporate diverse learning technologies and educational tools to enhance student engagement and understanding. Design and implement assessments, including standardized tests, to monitor student progress and inform instruction. Foster a positive classroom environment through effective classroom management and behavior management techniques. Provide individualized support and tutoring to students needing extra help, including those with special education needs or on the autism spectrum. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and school-wide activities. Engage with parents through regular communication about student progress and behavioral updates. Support library services by integrating reading programs and encouraging literacy development across all grade levels. Maintain detailed records of student performance, attendance, and behavioral incidents in compliance with education administration policies. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education. Valid teaching license or certification for elementary education (grades 4-6). Proven classroom experience working with children in grades 4 or 5, including private school settings or similar environments. Strong knowledge of childhood development principles. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and integrating learning technology tools. Excellent communication skills for working with students, parents, colleagues, and administrators. Ability to adapt instruction for diverse learners using differentiated teaching methods. Skills in proofreading, writing skills for creating engaging lesson materials, and working with standardized testing protocols.
Pay:
$30,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year
