Job Description The Opportunity The College of Aviation at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona invites applications for the position of Department Chair of the Applied Aviation Science Department, starting in Summer 202 7 , in support of our Air Traffic Management, Applied Meteorology, and Uncrewed and Autonomous Systems programs. Applied Aviation Sciences teaching assignments may include a variety of courses within the associated degree programs. The candidate must have experience in leadership positions of large organizations with diverse mission sets. Applicants shall be able to demonstrate the ability to teach and develop courses across all levels of undergraduate aviation education, with a passion for enhancing student success. Qualifications Required Education and Qualifications:

Candidate must hold a Master's Degree or higher, preferably in an aviation-related field but candidates with significant industry experience and a master's degree are strongly encouraged to apply . A PhD or EdD is strongly preferred . Demonstrated ability to lead an organization with a diverse set of missions. Demonstrated ability to teach. Demonstrated ability to mentor students or colleagues through the research and writing process. Strong verbal and written communication skills with a demonstrated potential for scholarly activity.
