CTE Engineer Pathway Instructor

The CTE Department is seeking for a part-time Engineering Pathway Instructor

$50.00 per hour (maximum 6 hours per week after school hours between 4:00-9:00)

THE POSITION

Under the supervision of the Director of Career Technical Education, provide entry

• level instruction for students entering the field of Engineering for the Extended Day Program (after school hours only).

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide instruction for high school students in Engineering.
• Train students on the skills required for entry into the engineering field
• Participate in advisory board meetings to ensure the curriculum meets industry standards
• Develop online and classroom lesson plans
• Maintain student records, grades, and attendance
• Participate in Professional Development

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Three (3) years of work experience in Engineering or 1 year of work experience in the field and a valid teaching credential
• Possess or be willing to obtain a Career Technical Education (CTE) Credential https://lacoepd.instructure.com/courses/1077/pages/career-technical-education

• Teaching experience preferred
• Familiarity with classroom technology preferred (CANVAS, Google Classroom, Infinite Campus)
