Temporary Duties and Responsibilities The research assistant will investigate tunnel-soil-structure interaction through advanced geomechanical modeling of complex geotechnical and structural systems. Responsibilities will include performing numerical analyses; validating, analyzing, and interpreting the results; and preparing figures and technical content for publication in high-impact journals. Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in civil engineering. Master's degree in Geotechnical Engineering Demonstrated expertise and proficiency in the numerical modeling of tunnels using the finite element software

Desirable Qualifications Be enrolled as a graduate student in the Civil Engineering Program at the University of Hawai?i at Manoa and have passed the qualifying examination.
