Indiana Tech is seeking a knowledgeable and experienced Adjunct Faculty Member to join our online engineering program. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in engineering, a passion for teaching, and the ability to engage and inspire students in a virtual learning environment. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Course goals and objectives are set by the dean.
Additionally:
Teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in Engineering, including a range of subjects such as Engineering Problem Solving, Manufacturing Processes, Safety Engineering, Work Design, Materials Science, and Applied Statics and Strength of Materials, and additional courses as determined by departmental needs. Deliver effective courses that meet the program learning outcomes Provide timely and constructive feedback to students through the online learning management system (LMS). Conduct a one-hour live session each week of the course. Stay current with developments in the field of engineering and incorporate new knowledge into teaching. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population. Desire to increase access and success in higher education for underrepresented students. Qualifications Master's degree in Engineering or at least 10+ years of industry experience. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse student population. Demonstrated evidence of strong written and oral communication. Previous online teaching experience at the college level is preferred. Experience with a Learning Management System preferred. Applicants should be able to use technology effectively in all aspects of their work, including teaching. Working Conditions Work is performed remotely. This role requires the ability to deliver instruction in an online environment. Candidates are responsible for ensuring they have reliable internet access and all necessary equipment (computer, webcam, microphone, and appropriate workspace) to conduct virtual classes professionally. •The position remains open until filled; a review of candidates will commence as application materials are received.
