As Section Chief, you will be responsible for:
Strategic Vision:
Develop, articulate, and execute the clinical, academic, and educational vision for Interventional Cardiology, aligned with the divisional and institutional goals.
Clinical Leadership:
Manage faculty schedules and clinical operations, ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.
Advancing Scholarship:
Promote a productive and collaborative research environment, supporting faculty achievement and interdisciplinary initiatives.
Fostering Education:
Cultivate a thriving learning culture for trainees and faculty, enhancing mentorship, teaching, and professional growth.
Faculty Development:
Oversee evaluations, recruitment, and development. Collaborating for
Impact:
Partner with leadership across the Division and Institution to advance clinical innovation, research, and educational excellence.

We seek leaders with: M.D. or D.O. with board certification in Cardiovascular Medicine and Interventional Cardiology.

Eligibility for Michigan medical licensure. Distinguished record of clinical and teaching achievement and scholarly productivity. Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Experience in mentorship, education, and faculty development. Commitment to fostering a collaborative and innovative environment.

Academic rank and track will be determined by qualifications and experience.

This posting is for Clinical Associate Professor/Clinical Professor; however, the track and rank of the selected candidate will depend on qualifications. Michigan Medicine, a leader in academic healthcare, invites visionary physicians to apply for the Section Chief of Interventional Cardiology in our Division of Cardiovascular Medicine. This dynamic role has a significant impact on patient care, faculty development, and scholarly achievement, and is accompanied by a faculty appointment (Clinical- or Tenure-Track) at Associate Professor or Professor rank. Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses. Tenure-track faculty appointments require an institutional reference check regarding misconduct, as well as completion of self-disclosure and authorization forms.
