POSITION
Electrical Technology Instructor
LOCATION
NDSCS - Wahpeton, North Dakota
TYPE OF APPOINTMENT
Full-time, 9-month, benefited position, non-tenure track

JOB SUMMARY
Teach lecture and/or lab courses in Electrical Technology during the 2025-2026 academic year. Adjunct faculty are expected to embrace the use of technology as it relates to teaching, demonstrate flexibility to meet the needs of students, and work effectively in a team-centered environment.
Instructional areas may include:
Code Study and Wiring Lab Motor Controls, PLCs, and Drives Instrumentation and Automation Electrical theory and applied math
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Must support the mission, vision, and values of NDSCS Two-year degree in Electrical Technology or related area OR equivalent education and experience Relevant work experience in electrical field Effective oral and written communication skills Computer and technology literacy Ability to function in a team environment Flexibility to teach students of varying abilities
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Associate in applied science in Electrical Technology or related field Journeyman license or higher Industry experience in one or more of the following areas: Commercial and residential wiring and codes Instrumentation and process controls Electronics/home and building automation Electric motor controls and drives Renewable energy systems Prior teaching or training experience
SALARY:
$59,163, commensurate with education and experience
BENEFITS
NDSCS offers a comprehensive benefits package with an estimated value of over $25,000. The package includes single or family health insurance coverage with premiums paid for by the College - with an effective date for new employees the first of the month following the date of hire.
