Posting Text The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology is seeking applications for a nine-month, non-tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Instructor, Lecturer, or Senior Lecturer, depending on the qualifications and experience of the successful candidate. Applicants must hold a PhD in Civil Engineering or a closely related field, or an MS degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field with appropriate experience in teaching and/or industry. Candidates with Professional Engineer (PE) licensure are encouraged to , although licensure is not required. We are seeking an instructor/lecturer who will teach upper-level structural engineering design and analysis courses. The successful candidate will be a passionate engineering educator that teaches courses at the undergraduate and graduate levels and participates in service-related activities. Salary ismensurate with qualifications. The anticipated start term is August 2026.
