The Department of Industrial & Systems Engineering in the Cullen College of Engineering at the University of Houston (UH) invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track, Lecturer for its Bachelor's degree program in Systems Engineering located in Katy, TX, beginning in Fall 2026. Duties The responsibilities include (1) teaching three courses relevant to the program in Industrial and Systems Engineering per semester or equivalent course development duties as determined by the ISE Department Chair and (2) contributing to service and administrative tasks as required in the department. Terms This is a full-time, benefits-eligible, non-tenure-track position. Appointments are made on an annual 9-month basis, and salary commensurate with experience. Reappointment will be based on the availability of funds. Requirements/Qualifications Applicants must hold a Ph.D. in systems engineering, industrial engineering, or other closely related engineering fields. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellence in teaching, thrive in a collaborative environment, and work effectively with multiple stakeholders. Candidates should have a strong commitment to engineering education through experiential learning and possess outstanding communication skills. Department The ISE Department has 24 full-time faculty members and approximately 900 students enrolled in bachelor's, master's, and doctoral degree programs.
