Job TitleFall Adjunct Faculty in Mechanical Engineering (On-Campus) Agency Texas A&M International University Department School Of Engineering Proposed Minimum SalaryCommensurate Job LocationLaredo, Texas Job TypeFaculty Job Description The School of Engineering seeks to establish a pool of qualified applicants for future, part-time Adjunct Faculty appointments in Mechanical Engineering. Successful applicants will primarily teach Statics and Dynamics and, possibly, Statics and Dynamics Laboratory courses and may teach other foundational engineering courses in the future.
Education and Experience:
Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours in the discipline. Previous experience teaching Statics, Dynamics, and/or related Laboratory courses. Previous teaching experience at the collegiate level. Prior relevant industry experience.
Preferred Qualifications:
An earned doctorate in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field with a minimum of 18 graduate hours.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing. Ability to interact effectively and professionally with students, university administrators, and the general public. Ability to plan, organize, and prioritize tasks. Ability to work under stress and with pressing timelines. Ability to maintain confidentiality.
Other information:
The above job duties may not be performed in every Adjunct Faculty position and might not include all related duties that may be performed. Adjunct Faculty positions are temporary appointments, assigned per semester and on an as-needed basis. These temporary appointments are for the Fall 2026 semester.
