Location:
La Mirada, CALIFORNIA Faculty, Torrey Honors College One-Year Contract Faculty Position in the Torrey Honors College Torrey Honors College (biola/torreyhonors) invites applications for a one-year, full-time teaching position. Torrey Honors College uses a great books curriculum and Socratic pedagogy to deliver a 54-unit general education program for honors undergraduates. The program emphasizes student formation in reading, writing, and speaking skills, as well as the pursuit of cultural literacy and wisdom. Successful candidates will be enthusiastic about the liberal arts, will enjoy teaching books from both inside and outside their field of expertise, and will thrive on teaching biblical texts as well as being alert to the theological dimension in all inquiry. Additionally, successful candidates will look forward to collaborative teaching with colleagues, since all faculty in the department work together to deliver a single, shared great books curriculum. A PhD is required in any field central to the humanities. Part of the teaching load includes mentoring a diverse set of students from all university majors.
Terms of Contract:
One-year full-time faculty contract with an excellent benefits package included. Position begins Fall 2026.
