Course Information:

We are hiring two adjunct positions for the Fall 2026. The first position is to teach two sections of COM 163, which is our Introduction to Human Communication Course. The courses are scheduled for Monday, Wednesday and Thursday from 10:20 AM to 11:10 AM and Tuesday and Thursday from 8:00 AM to 9:15 PM. The second position is for teaching COM 163, as well as COM 161, which is our Decision-Making in Groups course. COM 163 is scheduled for Fridays from 12:00 PM until 2:30 PM. COM 161 is scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays from 9:20 AM to 10:10 AM.

Course Responsibilities:

Teach COM two sections of COM 163 at the scheduled times listed above or teach one section of COM 161 and COM 163 at the above-mentioned times. Develop and deliver course materials that align with the course description; Evaluate student performance and provide constructive feedback. Maintain office hours for student consultation.

Qualifications:

Candidates must possess a master's degree in communication or a related field. Prior teaching experience at the college level is desired. Candidates must be able to teach in-person on-campus during normal business hours (this is not a remote teaching opportunity).

Salary & Benefits:

The current minimum starting salary is $2,214 per load credit (or a minimum of $6,642 for a single 3 credit course). Additional information on benefits can be found at www.wcsu.edu/hr/benefits/.
