GENERAL JOB SUMMARY

Kirkwood Community College Business and Information Technology Department is seeking in-person part-time instructors to teach at our Cedar Rapids and Johnson County locations. We are currently seeking applicants for the following disciplines: Accounting Employment offer is contingent upon satisfactory results on criminal background check and receiving official transcripts. Adjunct faculty positions are temporary, part-time positions scheduled intermittently based on institutional need. Adjuncts are not guaranteed work in any semester and are notified of course assignments prior to each term as courses become available. Official transcripts will be required if offered a position.

Provide instruction in discipline. Work with other faculty members to develop a course syllabus and consistent assessments. Communicate with department staff, students, and faculty on a regular basis. Perform other related work duties as assigned.

Effectively instruct and communicate material for the course. Abide by and enforce safety rules when in a lab setting.
