  • Faculty Description South College is seeking qualified applicants for the role of Full-Time Faculty
  • Medical Assisting.
The faculty member will teach Medical Assisting courses as assigned. The successful applicant will need to be able to teach on campus in Asheville, NC. Responsibilities Provide engaging and effective instruction for courses in the Medical Assisting program (Certificate and associate degree levels). Prepare course materials, lesson plans, and assessments in alignment with program objectives and institutional standards. Participate in lab activates as assigned Maintain accurate records of student attendance, grades, and progress. Support student learning through timely feedback, academic guidance, and professional mentorship. Participate in committees at the department and college levels Participate in ongoing accreditation activities
Requirements:
Education Bachelor's degree in related field required Completion of medical assisting certificate or associate degree program Current certification in medical assisting (CMA) Current certification in phlebotomy (CPT) preferred Experience Minimum of two years of clinical experience as a medical assistant Experience in post-secondary education preferred Experience with online instruction preferred
