Job Description:
Part-time credit-free ESL instructors are responsible for providing high-quality, engaging instruction in the areas of listening, speaking, reading, and writing skills to English-language learners. Instructors should be comfortable and experienced working with a diverse and multi-cultural adult student body. In addition to teaching, instructors are expected to establish and maintain an organized and supportive classroom environment, keep accurate records (including attendance, class rosters and students' academic progress), prepare/implement effective lesson plans, work collaboratively with other faculty as well as confer with coordinator regarding any student/classroom issues. Daytime and evening hours available at the Family Partnership Center in Poughkeepsie as well as other locations in Dutchess and Putnam counties.
Requirements:
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's plus TESOL Certification (or a minimum of 9 graduate semester hours in TESOL) Minimum 1-year ESL/EFL teaching experience Work independently in designing dynamic classes Maintain clear and accurate records Positively interact with students from a variety of cultures and backgrounds

Master's in

SALARY:
$30 - $35 per hour commensurate with qualifications and experience. DCC is an AA/EOE employer.
