The goal of the business department is to introduce students to the skills needed to develop and operate in a business setting. Business instructors may use community connections and previous work experiences to create engaging and dynamic applied learning experiences to assist students in building the skills necessary to be successful in the workplace. Business instructors must have a wide range of business skills and experience to link various aspects of business to industry needs. We offer courses in Accounting, Business Law, Entrepreneurship, Management, Marketing, Customer Service, Advertising, and many other workplace related courses.
Requirements:
A bachelor's degree in Business is required; however, a master's degree is preferred. This is a pooled search. Jefferson Community College is seeking to develop a pool of qualified applicants to teach courses in Business. Adjunct applications will be kept on file for three years to fill part-time teaching vacancies as they occur. The College determines the need for adjunct instructors based on planned courses each term; it is not possible to predict the need for future semesters. When an opening does occur, finalists for adjunct positions are contacted for interviews. Level A - $665/credit hour Level B - $785/credit hour after teaching 6 semesters at Jefferson.
