Central State invites applications for an Adjunct faculty position in the Department of Humanities in all academic disciplines within the department: English, History, and Philosophy.Duties and Responsibilities:
Teach courses necessary for Humanities, including first- and second-year composition, undergraduate first year success seminar, critical thinking, Introduction to African American history, and Gen. Ed literature courses. Minimum Qualifications- Doctoral or Master's Degree in Philosophy, English literature, rhetoric and composition, American history, or a closely related field.
- Evidence of scholarship and teaching in the Humanities Preferred Qualifications
- Availability for in-person teaching at Central State University
- Dedication to ensuring excellence in curriculum delivery, development, and improvement.
- Expertise in any of the following sub-fields: environmental humanities, legal studies, or medical humanities
- Experience and interest in teaching students from diverse cultural and ethnic backgrounds are essential.
- Ability to use technology in instruction and student advising.
- Demonstrate an understanding of and commitment to the role of a comprehensive college in a multicultural setting.
