Job Description

Job Summary:
The Linguistics and Translation Department is seeking male native speakers of English with an M.A. or a PhD in the following fields: Rhetoric, English Linguistics, English Literature, TESOL, Media and Communication, or closely related fields for the upcoming Academic Year 2026/2027. The candidate will be tasked with teaching courses related to academic essay writing or media studies. All the courses will be taught in the English language to students on the male campus who have just completed their preparatory year program and are enrolled in non-linguistic study programs. There are no linguistics or translation study programs on the male campus, and the candidate will only be teaching male students.
Mandatory requirements:
a male candidate only a native speaker of English with a
UK/IE/USA/CAN/AUS/NZ
passport (non-negotiable) an M.A. or a PhD in rhetoric, English linguistics, English literature, TESOL, Media Communication or a closely related field; the degree should be from an accredited university where the mode of instruction is full-time and in person. Online degrees are not accepted experience of teaching at the university level a proven track record of scholarly activity the ability to use information technology effectively cross-cultural and social competencies an ability to collaborate with team members a notable competence in effective teaching methods with a focus on interactive and engaging classrooms Desirable but not mandatory requirements: a strong research background demonstrated by relevant publications in high-impact journals About the
Linguistics and Translation Department:
The mission of the Linguistics and Translation Department within the College of Sciences and Humanities is to raise the standard of academic English throughout the University's student population and to offer specialised bachelor's programs related to both language and media. To this end, the Department provides academic writing courses in English to serve various programs, as well as offering its own bachelor's programs in Applied Linguistics, Translation, and Media. Salary and Benefits The University is continuously expanding, and its campus is situated in well-equipped new premises in north-central Riyadh. The University offers a one-year renewable contract (renewable subject to Dean/Director and student evaluation) and a competitive salary package based on academic qualification, rank and teaching experience.
