As an integral part of Heritage Academy, this position will assist Teachers in the helping all scholars in a friendly and professional manner while adhering to all practices consistent with Heritage culture, strategy, and values. Duties & Responsibilities Provides parents and scholars a friendly and orderly academic environment. Assists current and prospective scholars and their families in a friendly and professional manner. Support reading achievement and provide reading intervention to scholars. Support English language arts instruction in the classroom. Experience with Core Knowledge Language Arts and Spalding certification preferred but not required. Knowledge of DIBELS assessment tool preferred. Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications, Competencies & Strengths Education:
Bachelor's degree required
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in an academic setting is preferred.
Special Skills:
Excellent communication skills Professional and friendly disposition Proficient with computers and office software applications including MS Office tools, and internet search engines Outstanding organizational skills Type of fingerprint clearance: Shall be fingerprint checked pursuant to

Must have valid driver's license: This position involves driving to various locations on and off campus to transport students.
Physical functions:
Must be able to remain in a stationary (standing or sitting) position for 50% of the time; may move around the campus 50% of the time.
Equipment used:
Frequent computer and telephone use is expected.
Work Environment:
May be required to move or position equipment up to 30 pounds. May be exposed to outdoor weather.
