Full-Time High School English Teacher Start Date:
Immediately / 2026-2027 School Year Saint Bonaventure High School, a Catholic college-preparatory school rooted in the Franciscan tradition, is seeking an enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and student-centered English teacher to join our faculty. We are looking for an educator who is passionate about literature, writing, and critical thinking and who is committed to helping students grow academically and personally in a supportive learning environment. Responsibilities Teach high school English courses, including literature, composition, grammar, and vocabulary. Develop engaging lessons that promote critical thinking, analytical writing, and effective communication. Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners. Assess student progress and provide timely, meaningful feedback. Maintain a positive, organized, and respectful classroom environment. Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administration. Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and student success. Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school activities. Support the mission and values of Saint Bonaventure High School. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English or a closely related field (Master's degree preferred). Previous high school teaching experience is preferred. Strong classroom management and communication skills. Commitment to academic excellence and student-centered learning. Ability to integrate technology into classroom instruction.
