Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Part-Time English Instructor to join our educational team. In this role, you will inspire and guide students in developing their English language skills through engaging lessons and innovative teaching methods. You will utilize learning management systems and digital tools to enhance the learning experience, fostering a supportive environment that encourages growth, creativity, and confidence. Duties Deliver engaging and interactive English language lessons tailored to diverse adult learners and university students Develop, update, and adapt curriculum materials using learning technology platforms such as Blackboard and LMS (Learning Management System) tools Incorporate research-based teaching strategies to improve language acquisition and comprehension Utilize classroom experience and digital tools to facilitate effective instruction in both in-person and online settings Assess student progress through assignments, quizzes, and participation, providing constructive feedback to support improvement Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development initiatives aligned with higher education standards Support students' needs by offering guidance on writing skills, creative writing, and communication skills Qualifications Bachelor's degree or higher in English, Education, or related field; university experience preferred Proven experience in teaching English or adult language education, ideally within higher education or library services environments Familiarity with LMS platforms such as Blackboard or similar learning technology tools Strong research skills to incorporate current methodologies into lesson planning Excellent writing skills with the ability to develop clear instructional materials Experience working with diverse student populations, including bilingual learners and adult learners Knowledge of social work principles or GIS (Geographic Information Systems) is a plus for interdisciplinary teaching approaches Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively and foster positive classroom experiences Join us in shaping confident communicators!
