POSITION OVERVIEW
The Summer Bridge Program Teacher helps rising ninth-grade students successfully transition to high school through academic enrichment, skill development, and student engagement.
TYPICAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides targeted reading, writing and speaking skill development that is needed for incoming 9th graders to more strongly enter and navigate through Freshman courses Scaffold instruction such that it leads to students\' in-depth understanding Provide opportunities for students to demonstrate their understandings in a variety of ways Support students in understanding how to work in collaborative groups to complete a project Knowledgeable about teen developmental markers Ability to provide differentiated instruction Familiar with MLL strategies
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION
valid CT CSDE Certification
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Bilingual (English and Spanish)
SALARY:
$41/HR
