JOB DESCRIPTION
: Teachers report to the Principal. Teachers have a broad range of responsibilities in two primary areas: (1) Teaching and Learning, and (2) Professional Responsibilities.
REQUIREMENTS
: The teacher must be cleared by the Sponsor and hold a valid FDOE Professional Educator's Certificate required in the field(s) to which the teacher is assigned to teach. The teacher must complete all additional requirements mandated by the FDOE within the prescribed period of time, including ELL and professional tests. The teacher must also complete the Reading Endorsement (teachers of Language Arts, Science, Social Studies, Foreign Language only). Prior experience and advanced degrees are desirable.
DUTIES :
The teacher must demonstrate competency in the following areas related to
Teaching and Learning:
Management of Student Conduct Human Development and Learning Presentation of Subject Matter Communication, Knowledge of Subject Matter Learning Environment Planning Assessment The teacher must demonstrate competency in the following areas related to
Professional Responsibilities:
Technology Record Keeping Continuous Improvement Working Relationships with Coworkers Working Relationships with Parents Policies/Procedures/Ethics Other Duties as Assigned by the School Administration including attendance at all department meetings, faculty meetings, weekly extended-day trainings, and Open Houses.
SALARY :
Commensurate with qualifications and experience
