Job Overview We are seeking a passionate and dynamic High School English Teacher to inspire and cultivate a love for language, literature, and effective communication among students. In this role, you will design engaging curricula, foster a positive learning environment, and support students in developing critical thinking and writing skills. Your expertise will help students excel academically while nurturing their creativity and curiosity. Responsibilities Develop comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards that incorporate creative writing, literary analysis, and language skills. Assess student progress through standardized testing, essays, projects, and formative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support growth. Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, inclusive, and motivating environment conducive to learning. Mentor students individually or in small groups to enhance literacy education, writing skills, and academic performance. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, school initiatives, and educational best practices such as Montessori or special education strategies. Incorporate research techniques and library services to enrich lessons and foster independent learning among students. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in English, Education, Linguistics, or a related field; higher education teaching experience is preferred but necessary. Proven classroom experience teaching high school English or related subjects with strong classroom management skills. Familiarity with standardized testing preparation and instructional design for diverse learner needs. Excellent communication skills with the ability to motivate and engage students effectively.
