Mentor students through academic advising, supporting their personal growth, research projects, and college readiness initiatives. Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum design, instructional strategies, and assessment methods to ensure consistency and excellence across grade levels. Manage classroom behavior effectively through proactive behavior management techniques while fostering an inclusive environment that respects diverse backgrounds. Communicate regularly with parents regarding student progress, behavioral concerns, and ways to support learning at home. Skills Expertise in curriculum development with a focus on English language arts, social sciences, and literacy education. Strong knowledge of AP style, Chicago Manual of Style, proofreading, copy editing, and instructional design principles. Experience in teaching social sciences or humanities at the high school or middle school level with an emphasis on research and academic writing skills. Proficiency in integrating educational technology and learning management systems to enhance classroom instruction. Demonstrated ability to adapt teaching methods to accommodate different learning styles and developmental needs of teenagers. Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration with colleagues, students, parents, and administrative staff. Proven classroom management skills combined with organizational abilities necessary for lesson planning and instructional delivery. Familiarity with educational compliance regulations and standardized testing procedures within private or public school settings.
