Starting at $51,000 (based on experience) Job Summary
  • Global Leadership Academy is seeking a knowledgeable and engaging High School English Language Arts Teacher to support student achievement in reading, writing, and critical analysis. The ideal candidate will deliver rigorous, standards-based instruction, foster a positive learning environment, and prepare students for college and career readiness. Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Deliver standards-aligned ELA instruction in accordance with Florida B.
E.S.T. Standards Develop and implement lesson plans that promote critical thinking, writing, and text analysis Assess and monitor student progress using data to guide instruction and interventions Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners Foster a structured, respectful, and academically rigorous classroom environment Provide timely feedback on student work, including essays and written assignments Communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student progress Collaborate with department members, instructional coaches, and school leadership Participate in professional development, school meetings, and school-wide initiatives Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Valid Florida Certification in English (6-12) or Secondary ELA Strong knowledge of secondary literacy instruction and curriculum standards Effective classroom management and communication skills Preferred Qualifications
  • 3+ years of high school teaching experience ESOL Endorsement Reading Endorsement Experience with advanced coursework (Honors, AP, or dual enrollment) Work Schedule
  • Monday through Friday 8-hour shift In-person position Benefits
