Job Description
Middle School ELA Teacher (Faith-Based Microschool) Join our faith-based, non-traditional microschool community as a Middle School ELA Teacher and inspire students to grow in literacy, critical thinking, and character. This role is ideal for someone who can wear many hats and jump in wherever needed, contributing to a collaborative, team-oriented environment. You will create an engaging, Christ-centered classroom where students develop a love for reading, writing, and meaningful expression in a close-knit, personalized learning setting.
Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver engaging ELA lessons in reading, writing, grammar, and literary analysis Foster critical thinking, creativity, and strong communication skills Support student growth through assessments and individualized guidance Incorporate research, writing conventions, and technology into instruction Maintain a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment Collaborate with colleagues and communicate with families
Qualifications:
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box Experience teaching middle school or working with adolescents (preferred) Strong knowledge of ELA instruction and writing conventions Excellent classroom management and communication skills Ability to engage diverse learners in a non-traditional setting Passion for teaching in a faith-based microschool environment If you are passionate about equipping students with strong literacy skills while nurturing their faith and character in a unique, student-centered setting, we would love to have you on our team!
