This posting is for English 1. Tavares High School is located just a few blocks away from picturesque downtown Tavares, also known as "America's Seaplane City." Tavares has a popular seaplane base on Lake Dora just a short walk from the high school. Roughly 80 teachers and 1,500 students attend school in the classic Florida style building.

Mission statement:

The mission of Tavares High School is to prepare students to become confident, self-directed, lifelong learners who will make positive contributions to society.

Starting salary for new or returning hires is commensurate with relevant education and experience.
