Francis of Assisi Description:

St. Francis of Assisi School is seeking a certified teacher, either in K-5th or 6th-8th, with a background in English Language Arts, to provide maternity leave coverage. This role focuses on delivering targeted, one-on-one reading instruction to a small group of students using pre-designed lesson plans. The teacher will have a designated classroom to work with students individually. Students' grade levels range from 1st through 7th grade. The teacher will have an adequate amount of planning time each day. This is a temporary position designed to ensure continuity of reading support services during a maternity leave. All instructional materials and lesson plans will be provided.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized reading instruction to approximately 10 students throughout the week Implement pre-planned lessons with consistency and fidelity Monitor student progress and adjust pacing as needed Maintain clear communication with classroom teachers, administration, and parents Support a positive and encouraging learning environment

Qualifications:

Certified in K-5th or 6th-8th Background in ELA instruction or literacy intervention preferred Strong organizational and communication skills Ability to build rapport with students in a one-on-one setting
