OVERVIEW
Morehouse Parish School District is seeking a dynamic, student-centered Secondary Teacher committed to excellence in education and student achievement. The successful candidate will deliver rigorous, standards-aligned instruction in a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment that supports the academic and social-emotional growth of all students. Candidates must meet Louisiana certification requirements or be eligible for certification through the Louisiana Department of Education (LDOE).

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution Valid Louisiana Teaching Certificate or eligibility through LDOE-approved pathway Knowledge of Louisiana Student Standards and standards-based instruction Effective classroom management, differentiation, and data-driven teaching skills Understanding of FERPA, IDEA, and Section 504 compliance Proficiency with instructional technology and student data systems Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to equity and continuous professional growth
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Master's degree in education or content area 1-3 years of teaching experience (grades 9-12 preferred) Experience with Louisiana Tier 1 curriculum and accountability systems Background in data analysis, MTSS/RTI, and progress monitoring Experience supporting diverse learners Proficiency with Google Workspace, Clever, Edgenuity, or SIS tools Participation in PLCs or collaborative planning teams Evidence of positive impact on student achievement
