Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Establish and maintain classroom routines and school-wide procedures
  • Create and teach daily lesson plans aligned to district curriculum
  • Implement strategies to promote high-quality student performance in both academics and behavior
  • Maintain discipline and a safe, respectful classroom environment in accordance with school and district policies
  • Create a classroom atmosphere that supports learning and reflects the maturity and interests of students
  • Demonstrate best practices in teaching and model correct use of oral and written language
  • Take appropriate precautions to protect student records, school materials, and facilities
  • Report student injuries, accidents, illnesses, and disciplinary concerns promptly to school administration
  • Assign reasonable and purposeful classwork and homework
  • Remain on-site during the entire school day unless excused by the Principal or designated representative
  • Demonstrate punctuality, reliability, and professionalism
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or their designee
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Demonstrated success working with multilingual learners and students with learning differences
  • Strong instructional planning and classroom management skills
  • Ability to foster meaningful relationships with students and families
  • Familiarity with culturally responsive teaching and inclusive classroom practices
  • Effective use of formative and summative assessments to guide instruction
  • Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
  • Commitment to professional growth and continuous improvement
  • Proficient in English; bilingual candidates highly valued
Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • MA Teaching License preferred
  • Experience with diverse student populations preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
