LOWELL PUBLIC SCHOOLS SUMMER SCHOOL SERVICES 2026
Position:
Summer School Interns Reports to: Building Administrator
Dates of Employment:
Students attend July 6•July 31 4 hours per day (mornings) Duties /
Responsibilities:
Act as part of the grade-level instructional team Assist the teachers with classroom instruction Provide small group support in literacy/English language arts/mathematics Assist with breakfast and lunch duties Assist with student arrival and dismissal Perform other tasks as assigned by the Building Administrator and classroom teacher
Salary:
$25 per hour for 4hrs per day Requirements /
Qualifications:
Must be 18 years old and be willing to complete CORI (criminal record check) and fingerprinting (if have not completed in the past) Experience working in summer programs with youth Some college required (do not need to have completed degree) Education or related major preferred Experience working with students with special needs Experience working with students learning English as their second language Bilingual candidates proficient in Khmer, Portuguese, Arabic, or Spanish are encouraged to apply.
