  • Part-Time St, Joseph School, a one track Pre-K-8th grade school located in Wakefield, MA is looking for a dedicated ELA Middle School Teacher with a concentration in Literature and Writing who will bring an enthusiastic approach to the writing process and the adventures of the literary genres.
As a member of our Middle School Team, the ideal candidate will work cooperatively to promote critical thinking through cross-curricular activities. This is a part-time position. Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Work cooperatively with the Middle School team, administration and leadership team;
  • Prepare for rigorous instruction by planning both long range goals and objectives and by preparing daily lesson plans and activities to meet those goals and objectives;
  • Utilizing varied and interesting instructional strategies;
  • Demonstrates the ability to use varied teaching methods to reach all students of varying abilities;
  • :
Demonstrates the use of both formative and summative assessments to evaluate student growth and understanding of materials taught;
  • Fulfill contractual obligations and observing school and Archdiocesan policies and procedures;
  • Willingness to work in partnership with parents for the benefit of the students;
  • An understanding of the Common Core requirements for 4th & 5th grade Math; and,
  • Participate in Faculty meetings and professional development opportunities
