ISM seeks a Academic Quality Controller (Leader for Teachers) for grades 1-8 who is capable of teaching High School English classes to join our growing community! About thePosition:
The Academic Quality Controller (AQC) is responsible and accountable for the academic success of students. The AQC inspires teachers to excel in their jobs and motivates students to achieve their highest potential. The AQC provides instructional and administrative leadership to the teaching staff, oversees implementation of curriculum, coordinates exams and monitors student academic performance. The AQC works closely with the School Director, the school administrative team, and SABIS® to ensure student success. The AQC provides first contact to parents on academic issues and serves as liaison to the Parent Connection/Network. The AQC must attend all school functions. The AQC ensures the school and SABIS® brand, philosophy, systems, policies, and procedures are properly implemented and observed. This position requires up to 10 hours per week of teaching High School English.Primary Duties and Tasks:

Ensures the academic success of students; Recommends necessary actions and strategies; oversees effective implementation of curriculum and instruction; Reviews and implements pacing charts; Effectively coordinates the administration of tests/exams; Coordinates the timely and accurate data entry of scores; Thoroughly analyzes test results and academic performance; Identifies issues and recommends and implements solutions in a timely manner; Recommends, designs, and oversees a quality summer school program; Reviews report cards for accuracy in academic entries and Student Code reporting.Lower/Middle School Operations:
Ensures that materials and textbooks are accurate and matched to the pacing; As applicable, secures additional materials needed to meet state-mandated curriculum and/or state testing requirements; Coordinates with special area teaching specialists to ensure delivery of quality programs; Effectively coordinates referral of students with perceived special needs to appropriate personnel; Plans and leads assigned school events and programs.Admissions & Placement:
Ensures appropriate placement of applicants; actively participates in describing the SABIS® system to staff, parents, students, and the community at large.Staff Management:
Ensures the right spirit, determines and recommends optimum staffing needs, and teachers' workloads; Effectively assesses and recommends teacher candidates; Effectively monitors and assesses teacher performance, and ensures required training and development; Effectively trains and supports teachers in SABIS® methodology.Internal Relationships:
Ensures smooth and efficient working relations that positively impact academics; Works closely and efficiently with the School Director, the school administrative team, and SABIS® staff to ensure student success and smooth operation; requests support as needed.Internal Reporting & Compliance:
Ensures the proper implementation of SABIS® academic systems and standards; Maintains a professional image; Completes needed periodic reports in a timely and accurate manner.Student & Parent Relations:
Reinforces positive student behavior and establishes rapport with students; Effectively counsels students with serious academic issues; Reviews and approves official school communications regarding academic progress or updates; Coordinates individual academic student concerns with parents as appropriate. Meets expectations of regular, reliable attendance.Other Duties As Needed:
Any other duties and tasks as deemed necessary and appropriate.Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field, Master's preferred (may be required if necessary to comply with local regulations); Demonstrated successful teaching experience; Senior teaching or administrative position in an educational institution a plus; Federal, state, county, or city certification/credentials, as required; Federal and state education certification, as required.Competencies:
