Toddler English Teacher (Montessori)

ILIM School is seeking a toddler whisperer—someone who knows that the first classroom is a second home and the best lessons come from discovery, routine, and a little Reggio-style wonder. We're looking for a calm, patient, and playful teacher who can help our youngest students build independence, express themselves through creative exploration, and learn the rhythm of language and life.

For You If You:

• Are trained in or deeply familiar with Montessori or Reggio principles
• See toddlers as capable, brilliant, and worthy of real respect
• Love structured rhythms, but also know when to step back and let curiosity lead
• Know how to hold boundaries with grace and model emotional regulation (even mid- meltdown)
• Are fluent in phrases like "use your words," "you did it all by yourself!

" and "let's find out together!"

Your Daily Life Will Include:

• Guiding toddlers through a prepared environment with purposeful materials and daily rituals
• Creating Reggio-style provocations that spark exploration, language, and self-expression
• Supporting toilet learning, emotional regulation, and practical life skills
• Leading songs, stories, and sensory play in English that make language learning joyful
• Observing and documenting student growth—not just academically, but socially and developmentally

Bonus Points If You:

• Have Montessori Infant/Toddler certification or Reggio training (or are willing to train)
• Can set up a sensory tray in under 60 seconds
• Speak in full sentences to toddlers, not baby talk
• Are a master of storytelling, redirection, and singing in key (or at least in rhythm) Why ILIM?
