Through personalized learning, academic excellence, immersive Hebrew, and meaningful community experiences, we help students develop confidence, curiosity, kindness, and a lifelong love of learning. Position Overview We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Part Time English Language Arts Teacher to support Kindergarten and First Grade students in developing foundational literacy skills. The ideal candidate will foster a love of reading and writing while creating a warm, engaging, and supportive learning environment. Through creative instruction and individualized support, students will build confidence as readers, writers, speakers, and listeners. The teacher will utilize the Read Write Inc. literacy curriculum, a structured phonics program that helps students develop strong reading, writing, spelling, and comprehension skills. Teachers receive ongoing coaching and professional development to support successful implementation of the curriculum and strong student outcomes. Responsibilities Teach foundational literacy skills, including phonemic awareness, phonics, reading comprehension, vocabulary, handwriting, and writing. Implement the Read Write Inc. curriculum and participate in ongoing instructional coaching. Create a positive and engaging classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning. Assess student progress and provide individualized support and feedback. Foster strong communication and language development through reading, discussion, storytelling, and writing activities. Collaborate with colleagues and families to support student growth and success. Maintain classroom routines and expectations that promote a respectful and productive learning environment. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Education, English, Literacy, or a related field preferred. Experience teaching elementary aged students, preferably Kindergarten and/or First Grade. Strong understanding of early literacy development and evidence based reading instruction. Strong communication and classroom management skills. Ability to create engaging and developmentally appropriate learning experiences. Reliable, organized, and passionate about working with young children.
