Job Description

Responsibilities The humanities teacher will teach middle school and/or high school literature and history courses at our growing Christian, covenantal, and classical school. This role involves developing and delivering engaging instruction that integrates a Christian worldview with the study of Western civilization's great works and historical developments while nurturing the spiritual and intellectual growth of students. Qualifications The ideal candidate must be a committed Christian who is currently an active member of a local Bible-believing church and demonstrates a consistent Christian worldview in both teaching and life. Candidates must hold at least a bachelor's degree or possess qualifying employment history that demonstrates readiness for this teaching role. Preferred majors include History, Humanities & Literature, though candidates with other relevant educational backgrounds and a demonstrated love for literature and history will also be considered. Requirements 2-8 years of experience teaching Christian Worldview Integration 4-8 years of Classical Education experience 3-4 years of Classroom Management experience 2-4 years of Curriculum Development experience 3-5 years of English Language Arts experience Nice to Have High School Education History Instructional Design Literature Middle School Education About East Palmyra Christian School Founded 75 years ago by families in the Reformed tradition, East Palmyra Christian School now serves as a thriving partnership of families from many churches across a dozen different denominations. Pay:
$40,000.00 - $50,000.00 per year Application Question(s): Provide two or three specific afternoons with dates and times when you would be available for an interview. Submit a personal statement of faith. (We are a 501c3 organization)
