Job Description

Light Christian Academy is a private Christian school. We are seeking a passionate Lower Elementary teacher for a small class of students (less than 10 students). Teaching at Light Christian Academy is a calling and a ministry. Job summary Possessing a desire to teach at a school with a Biblical and patriotic worldview Prepare lessons in accordance with curriculum (Abeka), agreed standards, and stipulated time frame Deliver engaging lessons using various materials & teaching techniques - including the use of technology Ability to use computers and technology to complete work tasks (Google Workspace and FACTS) Maintain good attendance, be punctual and committed Possessing a "teachable" spirit - being willing to grow and learn as a teacher Collaborate with and support other staff; be a team player Follow LCA guidelines and the LCA Employee Manual Participate in periodic events, community projects, and student performances Attend weekly teachers' meetings, morning meetings, and professional development sessions on-site and off-site (There are usually 2 PD sessions in the summer besides the ones throughout the school year.) Inspire and support all students to reach their full potential - academically, spiritually, and socially. Maintain order and organization inside and outside the classroom
