Job Description
Teachers at NHCS passionately advance the mission of the school by creating a learning environment that glorifies God, and pursues the academic and spiritual excellence of students.
Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver appropriate lessons and activities
- Organize learning material and resources
- Create a positive, structured, and safe learning environment for students
- Work closely with other teachers, staff, administration, and parents to provide a superior learning experience
- Clearly and timely communicate with colleagues and parents.
- Assess students' performance and progress to ensure they are mastering the skills
- Keep accurate attendance and grade records for each student
- Develop and maintain student behavioral and discipline policies
- Work collaboratively to achieve the mission of the school
- Follow and comply with teaching standards and safety regulations
- Set an example of intellectual curiosity, critical thinking, life-skills, self-motivation and Christ-like behavior
Requirements:
- Teaching and organization skills
- Patience and flexibility
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead and instruct students of all ages (may specify preferred ages on application) Minimum qualifications:
- High school diploma and demonstrated teaching experience
