Job Description

Department Ben Lippen High School Status Full-Time Time Period 40 hours/10 months Available August 1, 2026 Description Ben Lippen School is seeking a high school English teacher for our high school English courses for the 2026-2027 school year. Responsibilities A Ben Lippen English teacher is responsible to: Teach six high school English sections, which may include one section of an AP course. Collaborate with other English department members to continually revise and develop the English curriculum at Ben Lippen School. Perform any other non-teaching duties as assigned by the upper school principal. Qualifications The ideal candidate for the high school English teacher position should possess: Dedication to biblical integration in classroom lessons and activities. Manage a classroom effectively, teach with excellence, and create an engaging, relational, and joy-filled learning environment for students. a clear desire and ability to teach in a student-centered, problem-based learning environment. Experience working in a diverse international community and strong cross-cultural skills. Demonstrate excellence in planning, teamwork, and communication. We are looking for teachers who are willing to be creative, have a strong work ethic, can think "outside the box," and can work effectively as part of a team. Be of strong Christian faith and have a passion for serving children and families through the high calling of Christian education. Two years of successful teaching experience in secondary English. Content mastery of literature and writing. Bachelor's degree in English, or a closely related field (an advanced degree in English is preferred).
