FUNCTIONAssist teachers in preparation and execution of classroom activities and management

DUTIES AND

RESPONSIBILITIESPromote the mission and philosophy of Ki Charter AcademyAssist teachers/students in academic success as well as measuring and tracking resultsConduct instructional exercises assigned by the teachers; work with individual students or small groups Maintain a positive working relationship with teachers, administration and facility membersHelp maintain administrative records and prepare required reports a neat and orderly classroomRespond to directives from teachers and administrative staff in an efficient and timely mannerMaintain classroom and manage students when the teacher is awayHelp supervise students throughout the day, inside and outside the classroomDemonstrate knowledge of subject matterCommunicate professionally and courteously with students, faculty, facility and staff membersOrganize materials and adapt lessons for the specific academic needs of the students or assist teachers in preparing instructional materialsParticipate in staff development training programs, faculty meetings and special events as assignedManage and instruct students in a class room and laboratory situation in a temporary or long term situation Utilize computers effectively in the performance of assigned duties and responsibilitiesKeep teachers informed of special needs or problems of individual studentsEvaluate student's progress and provide meaningful feedback and positive reinforcement as directed Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
