The School of Gender, Race, and Nations creates new intellectual and community connections among its founding partners—Black Studies; Indigenous Nations Studies; Chicanx/Latinx Studies; and Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies—to better understand and advocate for historically under-served populations crucial to Oregon's success. Position Summary The School of Gender, Race, and Nations at Portland State University invites applications for Adjunct instructors with expertise in core areas of gender, race, and nations and similar fields, and instructional experience to teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses within the School of Gender, Race, and Nations. Should an instructional position become available for hire in academic year 2025-2026, applicants will be selected from the applications submitted to this pool. Minimum Qualifications Advanced degree(s) or comparable knowledge base in Black Studies, Chicanx/Latinx Studies, Indigenous Nation Studies, or Women, Gender, and Sexuality Studies, or closely related fields, and prior teaching experience. Preferred Qualifications Advanced or terminal degree(s) comparable knowledge base in Black Studies, Chicanx/Latinx Studies, Indigenous Nation Studies, or Women, Gender, and Sexuality Students, or closely related fields, and prior teaching experience.
